Householding for non-profits
I'm not a programmer in SF (yet?), but saw this and thought it might be interesting. It's from Scott Anderson of ONE/Northwest.
There's a PDF you can download with instructions for setting up householding for non-profits. Looks great. Now, if Hudi wants to let me under the hood of the car, maybe I can figure out what this means. :-)

I like the idea of creating the account and both contacts all at once. Is that possible?
What's an s-control?

We use each Family as an account and the family members attached as contacts to that account. It works well, but I don't know any way of automatically creating two contacts associated with the account. we do it manually.
This S-control sounds great, but what is an S-control?
I'm been wrestling with how to deal with the dual data-entry issue from a user perspective. That'll be a tough sell.
